Ryan Black, Th.M., MDiv.
Ryan is originally from Central Florida. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, a Master of Arts in Theology and a Master of Divinity from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience. Ryan is a seminarian for our Metropolitan Byzantine Catholic Church and has been a parishioner since 2006.
Leslie Hrusch Bohannon, MATS
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the University of St. Thomas. A long-time parishioner of St. John Chrysostom Church, Leslie developed the “Cloud of Witnesses” series which presents the lives of Saints venerated in the Christian East.
Dr. Sean Fredsti, Th.D.
Dr. Fredsti undertook graduate studies at the Pontifical Institute in Belgium, holds a Doctorate in Theology, a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, a Bachelor’s in Philosophy. He retried as a commercial pilot and General Manager of a regional airline. He teaches at a university and continues his faith journey with his wife, Robin, with whom he has 6 children and now several grandchildren.
Dr. Alex Hening, Ph.D.
Alex is an associate professor of mathematics at Texas A&M University. He received his PhD in Mathematics from UC Berkeley and has worked at Oxford, Imperial, and Tufts. Alex has taught RCIA, has given talks on philosophy, science, and theology and is the faculty advisor at Texas A&M for the Thomistic Institute, which exists to “promote Catholic truth in our contemporary world by strengthening the intellectual formation of Christians at universities”. He finished his coursework and training for the diaconate and is waiting ordination in the Romanian Greek Catholic Church. Alex and his wife, Rebecca, are parishioners at St. John Chrysostom and have two children, Sophia and Teofil.
