([email protected])“Cloud of Witnesses” is an ongoing series of talks on various Saints venerated in the Eastern Christian Churches. Presentations are two hours in length and take an in-depth look at the life and mission of the Saint; as well as the spiritual and theological themes which emerge. Since its inception in 2017, Leslie Hrusch Bohannon, M.A.T.S., has given presentations on the following Saints:

Leslie Anna Hrusch was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Carpatho-Rusyn and Italian parents. She was Baptized and Chrismated a Byzantine Catholic on the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, November 8, 1959. At the age of 17 she left her parents’ home and travelled to Las Vegas to pursue a career as an actress. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Certificate of Distinction from The Drama Studio London at Berkeley, CA. During her theatrical years she fell away from the practice of the faith. At the age of 23 a profound conversion before a Crucifix changed the course of her life and she reconciled with her baptismal faith. In an attempt to merge her re-found faith with her acting career, she wrote, produced, performed, and toured a one woman show on the life of St. Joan of Arc. In the following years the Church discerned her gift of teaching. Since that time she has spread the Faith as a Teacher, Catechist, Catholic radio host and conference speaker; traveling throughout the United States and Central America. She subsequently earned a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX.
On November 20, 2004 she was Crowned in Marriage to Claude L. Bohannon, C.P.A., at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Parma, Ohio, where her extended family resides. She is currently a member of St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church in Houston, Texas where she has served as a Catechist, Reader, Facilitator of Adult Faith Formation and Parish Council member. Her areas of research and interest are: the life, mission, and ethos of Eastern Catholics, the Saints of the Christian East, and Catholic-Orthodox ecumenical dialogue.
